Senior Art Director 

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and strategic Senior Art Director to join our growing marketing department. In this role, you will work closely with the marketing team and business units to understand their strategic goals and translate them into compelling visual concepts. You will lead the execution of these concepts across multiple channels, ensuring they resonate with our audience and align with our brand identity.

You will drive the visual storytelling of our brand and solutions, bringing new, innovative ideas to the table and ensuring that all creative assets reflect the quality and innovation that define Zymo Research. This role requires a balance of conceptual thinking, design execution, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Concept Development: Collaborate with the marketing team and business units to understand strategic goals and develop innovative visual concepts that effectively communicate these objectives.
• Design Execution: Create high-quality designs for a variety of media, including digital campaigns, websites, print materials, trade show assets, and social media.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all creative work aligns with Zymo Research’s brand guidelines, maintaining visual consistency and quality.
• Project Leadership: Oversee design projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables exceed expectations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with graphic designers, UX designers, content creators, and other team members to produce cohesive and impactful campaigns.
• Innovation: Bring fresh, modern design ideas to the team and stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices.
• Communication: Present ideas clearly to stakeholders and provide constructive feedback to team members to refine creative output.

Education and Experience

• Experience: 3-5 years in an Art Director role or similar creative leadership position, ideally within a marketing department or agency setting.
• Skills:
• Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, design balance, and visual impact.
• Brand Guidelines: Strong ability to understand, apply, and evolve brand identity guidelines.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas and collaborating effectively.
• Creative Vision: Ability to conceptualize innovative ideas and execute them to completion.
• Collaboration: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can work cross-functionally.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects, including examples of conceptual work and design execution.

Compensation:
The estimated base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
