Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Marketing Intern with a strong background in molecular biology to support our marketing team. Reporting to a Product Marketing Manager, you will assist in creating marketing assets and campaigns for our NGS Services business unit. Your role will involve content development, digital marketing, and campaign performance analysis, all while working closely with marketing and NGS services teams.If you are looking to join a dynamic, growing team in a high-impact role, we want to speak with you. This position is part-time from mid-April through October (with the potential for extension or a full-time offer). This is an on-site role based at Zymo Research’s Tustin, CA office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Content Development: Create compelling media content for both print and digital platforms. Assist in generating engaging content for online and offline marketing materials.
- Digital Marketing: Contribute to digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media management, and website content updates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and NGS services teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with company objectives.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist in monitoring and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns.
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical and marketing writing.
- Ability to think creatively and analytically.
- Highly dynamic and flexible, with a passion for marketing and a talent for thinking outside of the box.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of biotechnology and life sciences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Biological research experience in academic or industrial settings.
- Experience in the biotech industry.
- Familiarity with Zymo Research products.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles.
- Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Gemini, Midjourney, etc.).
- Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics.

Compensation:
The estimated base compensation range for this position is $20-25 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
