Customer Solutions Associate

Job Summary:

As a Customer Solution Associate at Zymo Research, you will play a pivotal role in our business development department, reporting directly to the MiDOG CEO. Your role involves generating networked leads, servicing marketing leads, and boosting sales for MiDOG's cutting-edge diagnostic tool, the All-in-One Test. We seek a qualified candidate with a passion for science and healthcare combined with an entrepreneurial spirit driven by achievement. Your efforts will guarantee the delivery of top-notch results for customers passionate about infectious disease testing for all animals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn, promote, and evangelize assorted microbiome-focused MiDOG products and services.
  • Develop a deep understanding of MiDOG’s diagnostic capabilities.
  • Work with business intelligence, marketing, and business development teams to identify and engage prospects and take advantage of emerging opportunities.
  • Engage with prospective and existing customers via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Provide sample/trial kits and follow up with customers regularly.
  • Develop strong relationships with key clients to maintain an ongoing influx of business opportunities.
  • Partner with product and services teams to understand offerings thoroughly and provide customer feedback to assist in future innovation.
  • Coordinate sales with different departments such as research, technical support, customer service, marketing, and manufacturing.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and events to prospect, learn, and share information.
  • Create and present engaging, educational, and informative product presentations.
  • Maintain internal databases (e.g., NetSuite CRM, email) with prospective client and customer information.
  • Generate, prepare, and present professional and accurate sales and prospecting reports.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes to capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • Perform regular check-ins with customers to gauge their satisfaction and anticipate future needs.
  • Assess potential value of new projects/clients and their alignment with organizational capabilities and mission.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and mapping of new business opportunities in our market space, especially large accounts in research universities, corporations, and other major biomedical entities in the veterinary health sector.
  •       Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  •       Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue in collaboration with different business units.
  •       Maintain an extensive understanding of current market conditions and industry trends to capitalize on business development opportunities. 
  •       Follow-up with leads and customers regularly providing sample/trial kits as needed
  •       Manage the sales process coordinating new opportunities and sales with different departments such as research, finance, manufacturing, technical and customer support
  •       Provide prospect and customer feedback to research teams to assist in future sample collection and diagnostic innovation.

Education and Experience:

  • 1–2+ years of experience in Customer Service, Account Management, Technical Support, or sales preferably in veterinary/pharma or a related industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • An eagerness to learn and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Experience with NetSuite software is a plus.

Compensation:

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $68,640 - $70,000 per annum at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
