Job Summary:
The BD Associate is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key clients in the high-throughput automation processing sector, focusing on reagent kit sales. This role involves a deep understanding of client workflows, delivering tailored solutions, and driving business growth through strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotechnology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet the complex needs of automation-driven customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for high-throughput automation processing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
· Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders within biotech organizations.
· Regularly engage with clients to understand their technical workflows and business objectives.
· Analyze client operations and market trends to identify new opportunities for collaboration.
· Provide clients with expert guidance on integrating reagent kits into their high-throughput workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Account Growth:
· Identify opportunities to expand reagent kit sales through upselling and cross-selling based on client needs.
· Develop and implement strategies to increase market share within high-throughput automation processing accounts.
· Partner with the sales and marketing teams to generate leads and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
· Develop and execute customized account plans for each client to achieve revenue targets and align with their automation strategies.
Coordination and Collaboration:
· Work closely with internal teams (e.g., R&D, product management, marketing, and customer support) to ensure seamless delivery of reagent kits and related services.
· Facilitate communication and follow-up between clients and the technical team to ensure their needs are understood and addressed effectively.
· Address and resolve client issues or escalations promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring:
· Track and report on account performance metrics, including revenue, customer satisfaction, and product adoption rates.
· Prepare detailed account reviews and strategic presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
· Continuously gather feedback to refine product offerings and enhance client experiences.

Education and Experience:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees or equivalent industry experience are preferred.
Experience:
· 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or customer success in the biotech industry.
· Proven track record of working with clients in high-throughput automation and laboratory automation environments.
Skills and Competencies:
· Strong understanding of reagent kits and their applications in automated workflows.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Analytical thinking with the ability to solve complex technical and business challenges.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectively.
· Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Compensation:
The estimated base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 at the time of posting. In addition to a base compensation, this position offers a commission structure. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
