Zymo Research is looking for a dynamic individual to join our DTC partner company, Epimorphy, with a focus on simplifying the concept of biological age with next-generation DNA testing, science-backed supplements, and personalized lifestyle solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently developing and maintaining innovative computational solutions that enhance user experience and support our cutting-edge epigenetic and microbiome testing services. You will be mentored by a senior team member to support and effectively guide your contributions to research project objectives.
The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated learner, an effective team player, and possess a strong interest in learning about bioinformatics, data analysis, and software development for consumer experience. The successful candidate should also be detail-oriented and have experience in basic bioinformatic techniques and a passion for applying computational approaches to solve complex biological problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting our Senior Bioinformatic Scientist and team members to develop computational solutions that enhance user experience
- Assist with data collection and interpretation.
- Review, summarize and apply relevant literature and technical documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation.
Education and Experience:
- Have or working towards a PhD in Epigenetics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field. Preferably a recent graduate or someone with junior or senior standing at an accredited university.
- Ideally has experience and passion in the field of bioinformatics and NGS data analysis, experience with DNA methylation sequencing data is a plus.
- A passion for applying computational approaches to solve complex biological problems
- Well-developed people skills are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Compensation:
The estimated base compensation range for this position is $20/hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
